Responding to a Supplier Data Request

Make your response useful to the requesting team.

If you received a product or packaging data request referring to Vendor Reach Out (VRO), use the instructions and contact details in that request. This guide explains how to prepare information for review.

A practical approach

Confirm the scope

Check the requesting organization, product identifiers, requested attributes and due date. If the request or sender is unfamiliar, verify it through your established customer contact.

Preserve the requested structure

Keep field names and identifiers intact where a template is supplied. Include units, revision dates and supporting sources; identify unknown or unavailable information rather than inventing values.

Return through the agreed channel

Use the response route provided in the request. Ask the requesting contact about ambiguous fields, confidential information or changes to the requested format.

Clarification and review

A received response may still need clarification or technical review before the customer can use it. Make assumptions and substitutions explicit so the reviewer can follow up. Dazmii’s current focus is helping businesses organize the process and data practices around this work. For questions about a specific request, contact its sender or your established customer representative.
